Beyoncé Elle Article

niamhdouglas

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a lovely Tuesday so far. I cant quite believe how close to Christmas we are! Woo Hoo… how exciting!

Last night I was having one of my many browses on Instagram when I came across this amazing interview Elle has done with Beyoncé. The photoshoot is amazing if I do say so myself and I think that every photo is so cool and Beyoncé simply looks insane like she always does. Lets just say, I was well and truly drawn in and I couldn't help but explore the article more.

The article is all about Beyoncé's incredible brand Ivy Park, what it stands for and some new ways she is changing things up regarding her brand and business. The article also has a really fun section at the end where Beyoncé answers some everyday questions such as "what is your favourite cereal?" Also, if you are familiar with Beyoncé you might know that her Mom does what is known as 'corny joke time' over on her Instagram. Of course, one of the questions presented to Beyoncé was surrounding what her favourite joke was and I will reveal all later!

But firstly, I want to take a look at what Beyoncé has said about Ivy Park. I have been a fan of Beyoncé for quite a long time and I even had the pleasure of going to one of her concerts a few years ago. I just think everything she stands for is brilliant and particularly her Homecoming performance in 2018, I was just blown away. The shoot was all about showing that you can look 'fly' and like the amazing woman you are no matter where you are. This was shown through the various different locations Beyoncé was photographed in wearing the new Ivy Park pieces such as in the launderette. I just think the way she has been styled in fantastic and is just great to look at. I am a huge lover of this shoot as the style of the photographs is something that I am very fond of. The article also mentions that she "designs Ivy Park with everyone in mind" and mentions the fact that the pieces can make you look good whether you are "going to the gym", "dropping the kids off" or "going on a dinner date". Beyoncé also mentioned that she saw a lot of men opting for Ivy Park pieces too so the pieces will be able to accommodate men too as the range will be gender neutral. This Ivy Park range is in collaboration with Adidas and for the first time, Beyoncé will also be adding footwear to the collection. It is said that Beyoncé "hand-selected her favourite footwear models and mixed them with the aesthetics of the season". I thought that this was so cool. The new collection seems so interesting and I love how accommodating it is for everybody.

The shoot was conducted by her friend and "Formation" collaborator called Melina Matsoukas. Beyoncé mentioned that they work together so well because of their friendship and mutual respect and I feel like this is so evident within the photographs. If you guys are interested, have a read of the article because it was a brilliant read and a real eye opener that you can be whoever you want to be. Beyoncé talks about taking more time out for herself and her health and also about her body which I believe sends a fantastic message to young girls today.

Oh and for Beyoncé's favourite joke...… "what do you call a deer with no eyes?" Check out the article to find out more!! ;D

Thank you all for reading,

Niamh x
